    Alternative to a PC Jacket

    If anyone has connections to someone in the Navy or Navy Reserves, the Navy has a dinner dress jacket that works very well with a kilt. It is a short jacket similar to the BB jacket. I comes with gold buttons but silver buttons can be purchased for .25 cents each. There are six buttons on the jacket. The cost of the jacket is $160.00 which is less expensive than a PC jacket. It is made of black wool and looks as though it was made for a kilt. I have only seen the jacket on the Uniform web site though. I don't know if this helps or not but just thought I would let all of you know about it.

    Yup! Ikeep watching ebay for one in the right size that isn't festooned with insignia that I have to tear off, but so far, no luck.

    That is one very nice-looking jacket. Well done!

    Just one minor point though (Oh, here he goes again!!). Since you are not wearing a waistcoat - possibly they do not come with these jackets - your appearance could just be completed if you were to wear a Dress Belt with a rectangular 'plate' buckle. A belt would not, of course, be worn with a waistcoat.

    Is that a nice TFCK kilt I see there, by the way? I suspect it is.
