Am I buying horses?
A long time ago in the state of Iowa, an ancestor went off his nut and started buying horses. This was in the 1914-1915 time period. By the time he was done he had aquired some 400 head of horses; this on a 80 acre farm. The family has since said about anyone who was "off" they "were buying horses".
I had some cash left in my paypal account so I bought an Ancient Lindsay Casual Kilt from Burnetts-Struth. Total was $157.00 including shipping thanks to the code I got off the forum.
Here's the rub; I took up another member to split some fabric and make a box pleat; so this will make my seventh kilt since October. Thats 1.75 kilts per month. Am I just enthusiastic, or Have I started buying horses?
Rabbit, What Rabbit? I should'a turned left at Albuquerque!

If you are buying kilts on equestrian budget, you should already be competing with Hamish.

One of my old eBay searches used to find plaid canvas horse jackets all the time ...
I'm leaning towards "enthusiastic."
I am easily moved for sympathy for dogs, far more so than for humans, because dogs do not understand. There is no way to explain that you will return, that the vet will make it all better, that they cannot go shooting today because that is not what today is about. They cannot work out that their misery is finite and will some time end, and so their misery is magnified.

You'll be fine if you have enough acreage.

No you are not buying horses, take it from someone who had two. Horses are a bit more expensive, and besides you don't have to muck out your kilts.
