Red face Asked "The Question" by a Fourth Grader!

The fourth grade at my daughter's school has been studying immigration the last few weeks. As part of the study they had to research a country and a questionnaire was sent to the parents asking about their ancestors and if they would be willing to speak to the class. Today was my turn.

I wore my "The Works" Fraser Hunting Sport Kilt and flashes, off white hose and shirt, my Stillwater "Nightstalker" leather sporran, black kilt belt by Oconee Leather Works and black slip on shoes.

During the question and answer part of my presentation one boy asked if it was true "that your not a true Scot if you wear pants under the kilt?" I replied that no, it wasn't true but there has been some debate on the matter. A few minutes later, another boy asked "Are you wearing pants under your kilt?" Realizing that my standard prepared replies to this type of question would not be appropriate for a mixed group of ten year-olds I simply said "we never tell."

I was prepared for the presentation to go down hill from there, but topics quickly changed to other things.

My daughter does her presentation on Scotland tomorrow which includes a board game she created called "Scotland the Brave."

Hi Kent Frazier, glad to meet you.
Liked your thoughts on the school visit.
Your Daughter's board game sounds a great idea.
    Kind wishes.

If nothing else it indicates some prior research or knowledge of the subject matter. Looks like at least a couple of bright kids in the class.
