In a bad mood? Wear a kilt!
I wasn't in a very good mood when I visited the city centre...was in a hurry, found a parking ticket under the wiper earlier, insane traffic and a slight headache
So I was somewhat grumpy when I finally reached the centre...wearing my 1819 MacLaren/Regent kilt.
An elderly couple walking in my direction halted and basicly blocked my path...the man tapped his hat and his wife nodded with a friendly smile.
I smiled back and wanted to get passed them, but the gentlemen stepped aside blocking my path again...I looked at him somewhat confused.
"Young man! (I'm 46 ) stop running! people can't admire your kilt that way!" His wife added..."you look very nice!" They stepped aside to let me through and wished me a nice day.
On my way back to the car a nice looking young lady on a bicycle stopped in front of me..."Hey! I really like your kilt!"
I came home in a very good mood...even though I scored another parking ticket

Aye, it works for me too. After 13 hours at work yesterday - six 1/2 hours of VERY boring training by a very boring presenter, and two hours talking to 18 people in group, fighting a cold and sore throat that's sweeping the area, all on my birthday...and getting a birthday cake laden with coconut that I can't eat without consequences...I'm tired and grumpy.
A lady I used to live with was visiting town and called to offer to take me to dinner after group. So about 9:30pm we're walking into a local restaurant when a car full of young Navajo ladies hollar out at me, "Nice Kilt!"
The other stuff just sort of sluffed away...

I'm not in an overly-bad mood. But, I think my spirits could use a bit of pepping up... I'm gonna try this one out.
Ah, who'm I kiddin', I've been kilted all day.

It was really Really cold here today... and very windy. Not particularly nice conditions for wearing a kilt anyway. Humphhh. Maybe that's why I've been a bint grumpy today.

Been in the low 30s here today and damned windy. Hasn't slowed me down. I will drive over to pick up the wife from work tonight, but only because she'll be grumpy if she has to walk in this wind. She hates a cold wind.
