    Birthday Greeting video

I've found it really fun to to be able to put a voice as well a face to the folk on Xmarks. So here is my video greeting. Not great quality. Did on my digicam. But it's the real me!

    Happy birthday!!!

Video clips are great - I'll have to see if I can figure out how to do something like that...

Well, I gave the Mocker a test drive walking the dogs today for a few miles.

    What I love about it:

    a) the pockets, well made and good position, no need for the sporran and I think I like them better than the cargoes on my other UK

    b) fit excellent

    c) feel excellent

    d) color . . . the black is great

    e) versatlity . . . definitely the chinos of kilts. Will be quite useful with a jacket for teaching

    Neutral about:

    a) those pleats which fold over at the edges . . . gives it a bit of a spikey look

    Not too happy with . . .

    a) The front apron in a slight wind tends to blow open. I think because the apron is not as broad as a trad kilt apron. Has a tendency to show more thigh than I really want! Not to be worn in the wind. Wear a different kilt!

Overall, good buy and very useful addition.

    Andy,

Belated Happy Birthday wishes! Sorry I missed the actual day, but I've had a guest here all weekend and have not logged on for a couple of days. A very nice wee video clip there - well done!

PS: I pick up my Northumberland tartan kilt next Sunday!

Thanks Ham. Can't wait to see your Northumberland. Are we the only two men on the planet wearing the tartan?

That video was great! I'm a little envious of all the budding movie stars we have on this forum. What sort of camera do you use for that? Can you use a cheap $50 web cam or do you need some "real" video camera that costs $1000?

Happy Birthday, Nice video upload. Unfortunately, I like your built in bookshelves and must remember to get working on the office library shelves. O'Neille

I used a Canon Powershot SD110 Elph. Not really state of the art. I think most digicams now have video capability.

My black Mocker is one of my favorite kilts. I agree with you about the wind too, I'm just extra careful when I wear any of my UKs. Although, with the snaps, I haven't shown anything I didn't want to show. (no one would know the answer to the Question). The only thing I would do different is to get it a size shorter. I've really come to like a kilt at mid-knee or higher.

    Enjoy!
