Birthday outing
Went out with my wife this afternoon for an early dinner for my 42nd birthday. I decided to kilt up (sorry no pics) I had the usual comments, do you play the pipes, what tartan and so forth, but the one that hurt the most was from our cute little waitress (20 or so) when my wife told her that I was turning 42 today and she said “that’s cool my mom just turner 42 a month ago”. EGO DEFLATED. Never thought of myself as old before.

I too turned 42 this year, still don't feel old, I was told I look 37 this weekend.

the way I see it, it's not you being old, it was your wife marking her territory.
That's always good as im sure she saw the looks you were getting by your cute waitress, all thanks to your kilt of course!
