The 'Brittany Walking' Kilt has arrived.

I have some good news and I've got some not so good news.

The "Randonnée Bretonne" (Brittany Walking) Kilt I ordered a month or so ago has, despite the UK postal strike, arrived safe and sound at my house in Lancashire.

The not so good news is I am currently situated about 50miles off the Norfolk coast, on an offshore Platform in the southern North Sea and will not be home for another 16 Days. Can't even post you a picture of it draped over a chair as photobucket is prohibited out here. Ooooh... I can feel this trip being a bit of a drag from now on.

As soon as I get home I'll give you all an illustrated low-down.
    Best Regards John

You have my sympathy, John - and my jealousy!

Oh, now that is just too cruel.

Weren't you the one donning a Speedo and greasing up with goose fat when the dandelions needed delivering? Methinks a reprise is in order. . .

I meant to imply that he swim BACK to retrieve the kilt, if that's his only way off the platform.

But as it's a "walking kilt," it might not respond well to such treatment.

All right, back on topic -- congratulations on the new acquisition, condolences on the temporary additional Jonesing, and we'll wait with varying degrees of patience for the pics!

Do you mean something like this?

Passed quite quite a few of them on the North Sea on my Norway trip!

Reverend Earl Trefor the Sublunary of Kesslington under Ox, Venerable Lord Trefor the Unhyphenated of Much Bottom, Sir Trefor the Corpulent of Leighton in the Bucket, Viscount Mcclef the Portable of Kirkby Overblow.
