But, but, Sir, I don't do Tartans!

Then why, I ask you, did this guy stop into my shop yesterday and deliver 62 meters of strange blue Tartan fabric?

Yes, folks, The X Marks Tartan is in! Horray!

We have a slight problem though. The full order was for 78.5 meters and the mill ran out of yarn at only 62 meters.

So here's what I'm doing. I am going through all the X Marks orders and listing them by when I received the order. This may have to be down to the minute I received the e-mails, but prioritizing by "first in-first out" is the only fair way I know.

Those of you who asked for fabric to be sent to a kiltmaker other than yourself, I will insure it is delivered to them. I've already called Rocky and told him.
I have addresses for Barb, Matt and Kathy and will ship direct to them if that is what you asked me to do.

Gordon Kirkbright is a delightful man. I enjoyed the opportunity to visit with him yesterday. He assures me that as soon as he gets yarn, the rest of our order will go directly on to the loom.

Check back here soon and often for further updates.

Now, where did I put those scissors?

You warned us this might happen Steve. We're all anxiously awaiting news of whether we "make the cut". As soon as I know I want to alert Kathy that the material is on its way.

Thanks for doing this for us.

What a great present for Tartan day

What a great present for Tartan day, can't wait to get it in my hands. Jonesing one down, jonesing two to start soon, a 5 yarder by Rocky or Kelly. This will be my first wool kilt, I hope it doesn't ruin me forever on the other kilts I have!!

I hate to break it to you, but the wool will ruin you. I can't look at PV the same way now

Yippee! Now I'm gonna have to contact Rocky about having one made with the new fabric too. Ahhhhh, I'm so excited. I just hope that I make the cut for the first batch. If not, more jonesing.

Ooo! Ooo! Ooo! Gotta wait! Can't wait! Gotta wait...!

Great news that the tartan is in. Hopefully, I'll have plenty of time to get everything ready to turn it into a full traditional "tank" in August at Lake Tahoe with the personal guidance of Elsie Stuehmeyer, Barb's co-author.

Great news Steve! Thanks for sharing. I didn't originally ask, but I'll contact you off list about sending it directly to a kilt maker once I confirm with them first.

Thanks again for all your hard work on this!
