CaptMac's amazing Argyle Hose and a request for suggestions.

I just thought I'd post this picture for everyone to drool over. Diane has been working on these Argyle Kilt hose for CaptMac for a little over a year (Thanks to work constraints, paid knitting jobs and his incredibly manly legs) and she's almost done. The second one is all sewn up and is just getting the coloured lines added to it.

Vmac made a BEAUTIFUL Inverness Cape for me in exchange for Diane knitting these for CaptMac.

Now, considering all the time, effort and hard work the ladies put into these works of art for us, what do you all think we should do to make it up to them? All reasonable suggestions will be considered, but I think we owe them a damn big thank you!

I'm biased. Those are gorgoeus. I can't wait to see them on him at the Clan MacKenzie gathering in Strathpeffer.

    They're done!!!
She finished them off today while catsitting for her sister. (I can only imagine trying to sew in the stripes with 2 kittens around.)

Sandy, we'll post them to you on Tuesday as soon as the mail is going again!

Those are grand. And I'm relieved to learn that the little stripes are applied afterward -- I was getting faint just thinking of attempting to knit them in!

Lovely. Fiber art has more and more appeal to me, as time goes on. And I was talking with a Norwegian jewler the other day who told me that ALL the Norwegian men knitted thier own socks. Horray.

Great stockings, I love the colors too.
