Chief Waldo Mcintosh
Found this picture in my files, I always get a kick out of seeing it:
"Waldo E. McIntosh, president emeritus of Clan Mackintosh (USA), Hereditary Chief of the Creek Nation, great grandson of Chief William McIntosh, Jr, who came to America from Scotland and married the Princess of the Creek Nation"
As far as I'm concerned, he has done a great job of combining clothing from different cultures.

As it is sung in the great Rat Pack Movie, "Robin and the Seven Hoods":
"You've either got or you haven't got style
When you've got it, you stand out a mile..."

I've seen that pic, & others, before. He is honoring all his ancestors, not just the N.A. ones.
Last summer, I came across a small article about a Scottish film company coming to the States to do a film of a tribal chief & his Scottish roots. I wish I could find it again.

If he's a Creek, why is he wearing a plains tribe war bonnet?

I was wondering about that myself. Some of his family may be from one or more of the plains tribes.
The plains war bonnet is associated with the native americans the same way kilts are with scotsmen.
