    Christmas is coming.......

Christmas is coming....... and my wife just blew it, but she doesn’t know, and you can’t tell her!

Yesterday, while my wife was at the store, my neighbor came over to deliver a package that my wife had had delivered to her house. She had thought it a mistake.

Well I said, thanks and then looked at the return address. “Rocky Mountain Highland Supply.” !!!!!!!!

I know that I have not recently ordered anything from them, and Christmas is right around the corner, so I said “Huh – I don’t think I’m supposed to see this.”

Then my neighbor got this funny look on her face, and said “whoops, I guess not!”

We pledged each other to secrecy and she took the package back.

The box was sort of heavy, too small for a kilt, but about the right weight. About twice the size of a normal shoe box.

I know I shouldn’t have, but I just went on their web site – it’s primarily for pipers, and I don’t play the pipes. But they do have kilt pins, brooches, buckles, hose, sporrans, sgians dubh, dirks, books, CD’s, belts, flashes, hats and more…. 52 pages worth of stuff.

    What did she get?

Oh, I’ll wait, and I won’t go snooping, but she got me something Scottish!!!

Some guys have all the luck. Knowing you're getting a great gift and not knowing exactly what it is.
Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste of death but once. Of all the wonders I yet have heard, it seems to me most strange that men should fear; seeing that death, a necessary end, will come when it will come. --William Shakespeare, Julius Caesar

My 16 ounce Stromes arrive folded...they could fit into a "double shoebox." Don't give up hope.

Have you been a good little boy this year James?

Nope - Don't even try anymore! But that really stopped being a factor when I turned 60. Being good is like enforced by my physical capabilities now!

But they don't sell kilts..... Well, they don't advertise selling kilts.

No, why get my hope up. Also, too small for a bagpipe. And with my musical abilities, that a really good thing! - The possibilities! The possibilities!

I say, the question is always: "Do you play bagpipes?"
