Clan Crest Shirt from Scottish Tartan Museum

    Folks,

Matt has gone and done it again (what a guy). A couple of weeks ago I ordered one of the new crest polo shirts that he offers at the museum gift shop (http://giftshop.scottishtartans.org/crest_shirts.html). As my surname is not one of the BIG ones, I expected that it would be a couple of weeks or months before he got around to it. It was not matter as I am heading out of the country on the 7th of August. Well, today in the mail I received...

Matt, Thank you so much for seeing that I received this prior to my leaving. That was most unexpected and was not looked for. This was a great surprise and I expect my India couterparts will attempt to figure out what in the heck it is I am wearing!

Congratulations on the new shirt I love mine and I am sure you will love yours too.

It's funny most times I am out and about people comment on the kilt, on Sunday I was wearing my Stewart shirt from the museum, and my Black Stewart semi trad. from USA Kilts, and one woman had to ask me about my shirt but said nothing about the kilt. She thought it was really nice.

If I supply a file of a society crest - can that be done and what would be the cost?

Send a copy of the image file to us at the museum <tartans@scottishtartans.org>

I'll get the image to our shirt guy and see what he says about cost. Also give me some idea about how many you'll need to order, as that may effect things. We'll let you know!

    A sharp looking shirt.

It comes as no surprise to me that it's quality kit. From all I've seen, from the articles and posts by Mr. Newsome I've read, to the kilt he made for me, he comes across as a class act, and the kind of fellow that reassures me about humanity.

That I've a kilt on order from him in no way affects this judgment! (Rather, it reflects it.)

    Now that's just cool.
