    A closet Kiltie

Met a youg lady at a restaurant last night, she worked the register. Said I was the first kilted she had seen in public. Her husband owns a kilt but won't wear it out in public. (She was all for it.) I gave her one of my "X-mark" cards, suggested he go online and read about other peoples experiences. Also, give me a call, we could all go out for a drank or dinner one night, maybe he would feel up to being kilted if their was another kilted in the party.

Guess I'm pioneering all by myself in Little Rock.

That's the spirit! We need to get all kilties out in the open. The more, the merrier!

Honestly, I would think that Arkansas would be one of the easier places to go kilted, what with so many Scots having settled there. I know that one weekend when we were visiting North Little Rock I wore my kilt to church, and got several favorable comments; in fact, the general form of greeting appeared to be, "Nice kilt. What clan is that? My clan is ..."

Certainly I'd do it again. Get him started and I'll bet he won't quit.

To buy a kilt and not wear it? Might as well get some use out of it.

I used to feel that way about me in Memphis. Hey! How about this; The DEKS plan a road trip to Little Rock. It's NOT far at all. Get there on a Saturday morning. You have a Flying Saucer there. You could show us the interesting spots downtown & by the riverfront.

BTW ... are you gonna be able to make it this Saturday for Clanjamfey? We could talk about it then with the other boys in the DEKS. (Dead Elvis Kilt Society)

If this is the men's department, where are the kilts?
