    CNN Kilted Heroes

On CNN tonight they showed a presentation of awards to persons they considered heroes. Some were "everyday" heroes and some were honored due to a specific event.

One of the recipiants was John Smeaton, the bagage handler from the Glasgow Airport, for his actions during the attack there.

    Video here:

During his acceptance he was decked out in a PC with matching Kilt and bow tie. He gave one of the most Humble speaches I've ever heard. If I ever fly into Glasgow I'd love to shake this mans hand!

A friend of mine had dinner with him when he was here and she says he is truly a very genuine and humble gentleman.

That's what real heroes do, what they assume anyone else would do. Most of us don't though, which is why they are heroes, for doing it.

Well put Howard. I enjoy being surprised by extraordinary actions of ordinary people.
