    Coincidence?

I've come to the realization that a lot of "kilt dissadents" are a lot alike and share many similarities, but here's the one I found most true:

They never hang around to back up their insults.

Example: whenever somebody compliments my kilt, they usually try to catch my eye and talk about it, which I am always happy to do. But when somebody yells "skirts are for fa**ots" they always leave (usually drive off) in a car before I can reply.

It happened today when I was a mall in Illinois. I was walking around, trying to find a birthday gift for my brother, when somebody yelled "haha! you're wearing a skirt!" I tried to find them, but nobody claimed responsibility for the comment.

Another thing I have discovered. For every one negative comment I receive, I get at least 5 or 6 positive ones....usually from the lassies.

Moral of the story? Cowards aren't worth the time. Save it for the girls clammoring to find out what's underneith!

It's cowardice. They shout tough words over their shoulders as they're sprinting for an apron to hide behind. Mommy, those meanies are angry at "ME!"

When I can talk to one of "them" I ALWAYS tell them that Kilts are the latest thing in fashion for men, that kilts are experiencing a fashion boom right now.

They seem to puzzle over that...and get the "what am I missing?" look.

Some, just wanna know more about kilts but don't know how to break the ice other than with a stupid comment.

As we all know, given the number of people that see us, comments are few. Most folks that do speak are positive. The negative come from cowards that will not even try to back up what they say. In my experience they always back up when you "strike back" or run before you can.

A woman CAN be tolerated. A man is a different matter. I never tolerate them.

I've only ever recieved negative remarks from males, usually young ones in groups which dissipate very quickly when I turn to see who is talking.

A lady making an obvious joke is fine ( and sometimes trouble ), but I never tolerate any man trying to take a stab at the kilt. A quick retort usually quiets anyone poking fun.

Most often the shouters around my town are the young teen girls, in groups, the usual stuff "look that guy's got a skirt on". Oh and the other one, young cowboys they yell and run too.
