    Comfy Kilt

I love my heavy crawford kilt however I'm always very careful to treat it like a pair of dress pants, not a pair of jeans. I have seen a site that sells comfy kilts of cotton flannel material for lounging.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a comfy lounging kilt that can be abused and then machine washed and not dry cleaned?

PV or Poly Viscose kilts are just the thing.

My vote is also for PV. Another choice would be an X-Kilt

I own a sportkilt by Sportkilt.

I know it is not a "Comfy Kilt" , but I believe it fits your criteria.

I throw and lounge in it.

    Good Luck!

I second the motion for sport kilt. It has velcro closure and is great for wearing around the house. If you want something heavier, the Thrifty from Stillwater Kilts (about $30) is acrylic and also has a velcro closure. Both are washable.

    SWK Thrifty Kilt

The price is amazing. I'd guess it isn't for a night out but might do for a quick run to the store?

Anybody have the thrifty from Stillwater Kilts?

I have a Thrifty, and I have a Sport Kilt. I don't wear either- for anything. As a matter of fact, my Thrifty was my Christmas tree skirt this year! I hate the acrylic that the Thrifty is made from, and Sport Kilts are way too much like my wife's skirts for me to feel comfortable wearing them. Personally, I would go with a USA Kilts Casual. They look and feel like real kilts, with all the features you asked for. Or if you like the contemporary look, but don't want to pay $250 for a Utilikilt, www.amerikilt.com sells a really nice product. I have 2 of them and wear them on a regular basis.

I'd say that the best candidate in terms of lookin' good, being durable and easy maintenance is the casual from USAK. Dress it up, dress it down...throw it in the washer when it needs it. Slightly upwards from $100 but worth it in terms of being a no-worries kilt.
