    Cool Gift from the Wife

I wasn’t sure of the right forum in which to post this, as it is not really directly kilt related, but I was excited and wanted to share this with all of you.

My dear wife, who supports my kilt wearing and my compulsive obsession with all things Scottish and Celtic, surprised me with a very thoughtful gift yesterday. We had just made a trip down to USA Kilts last weekend and ordered a 5 yarder in the new German American tartan. As it wasn’t a birthday or anniversary gift, or some such celebration, I figured that the kilt would pretty much be it for a while in terms of discretionary spending. I was wrong.

Yesterday I came home from work and my wife had a little present for me. I initially thought it was a book by the weight and feel of the package, but when I opened it I was truly surprised. She went out and found an original copy of the screenplay for “Braveheart” – which was signed by the cast – including Mel Gibson himself. This was by far the coolest gift that I have ever received out of the blue!

    Just wanted to share …..

Not a soldier discharged his farewell shot,

That is really cool! Give that woman a big hug and jewelry!

    Very Cool and original gift.

That Ms. Mackay is one heckuva lady. I know you appreciate her even more than the fellows here.

I think I see diamonds in her future.
