Could I get a pattern?

OK........As you all know, or may not know-I'm in the throws of getting back into the scene (The games, solo piping.....caleidhs...ahhhhhh)...Um...sorry..Got lost in a moment. Anyway, my wife is from India and her Aunt has come to town for a visit. Tonight, she sat on the sofa and began knitting, which was something I thought to be odd (Ethnocentric me) for someone from India to be doing. This lasted all night and by the time i really paid attention she had knitted this incredible cabled portion of something. She told me it was going to be a sleeve for a sweater and proceeded to show me. And by God it was a sleeve. Wait.......that also looked like a....YES....Kilt hose!!!!!


"Auntie, can you knit hose"?

With my best Indian accent-Head bobbling side to side...ahem...."I can knit anything, but I am needing the pattern".

So within seconds I had her infront of the computer showing her diced hose. She felt she could tackle it, but again, needed a pattern.

SOOOOOOOOOOO-Does someone had a pdf or jpeg of the pattern for doing diced hose I might have?

How long did it take for her to knit that sleeve...?

I'm sure they have you covered on the patern in the following posts; I don't know anything about knitting. Um... String.

You know, yesterday I was looking up hand knitting Aran kilt hose etc, and now I cannot find the one site that I thought you might find of interest.

That's a wonderful book, but it does not have patterns so much as design elements for making sock patterns.

If she has knitted socks before this is an attractive one Toirneach kilt hose; and Here are some pix of BluesDoxieGa's skillful execution of it!

I myself am a novice sock-knitter, so I took advantage of other material on knitty.com and my public library to get started.

I don't know of any online patterns for diced hose, but the instructions are in the book I recently got.
