    decisions, decisions

Under the tree was 2 1/4 yards of 16 oz. California tartan.... (thanks for getting it in so fast, Rocky!) and it's gorgeous. I've been wanting to do a box pleat kilt for a while, and this is gonna be it.

The decision? Which do i make first, the X-Marks Tartan 6-yard or the California tartan box pleat????? AAAAaaccckkk! .......and Burns Night coming up!

You just did a "Tank" for Piper George. I say do another for yourself and cement what you have learned in your brain.

    You're right. That's a tough one

However, you just finished a "tank" - do the box pleat.

Well since you ask, I'm dying to see the California tartan done as a box pleat.

    Best regards,

My wife has been wanting me to get a kilt in California Tartan, but the only source we found for it charged a king's ransome. How much did it cost per yard?

I can see how this would be a hard decition to make, however I would tend to agree with Panache. Why start a box pleat now when you can try to perfect on the tank first, just my opinion mind you.

I wont' give input for which you should do, but for me the box pleat went faster than the 6+ yard knife pleats I've done

I don't have the time or gumption to even start a kilt. You're a better man than I, Gunga-Din.
