I contacted two Co's in Edenbourgh as it seemed they had some of the best deals in my Search for casual kilts. However, when I asked for specifics as to how long it would take to prepare and/or when it would arrive in the states they were very vague and uninformative. Any one else have experience in getting ready made kilts from overseas have suggestions? Joe H

If you're looking for a casual kilt from a reputable dealer, you might consider USA Kilts or Burnett's & Struth.

What are the names of the companies in Edinburgh you contacted? Give some detail and you're likely to get a more informed response from the rabble.

For an inexpensive 8 yard, PV kilt, I received good service from these folks

They shipped the next day and I received it in about two weeks, if I remember correctly. The kilt is a heavy weight PV, has three straps and buckles. The cost and material makes it great for rugged use when I am so inclined. Mine is in the Scottish National tartan. For what it is, I am quite happy with it.
