    Desert Island Kilts!

Answer any or all of the following question with only one answer and no "Can't decide" or "both" - Answer as though you have absolutely no other choice and HAVE to give an answer.

1 - If you could only keep one kilt (that you already have) for the rest of your life (and gain no more), which would it be? Why?

2 - If you could own only one kilt, but it could be anything you desired which would it be and why?

3 - Style vs. Comfort - Assuming the two could be divorced - If you could only have either the comfort of a kilt (or MUG) or the style/appearance of a kilt, which would you choose?

4 - If you were going to be stranded on an island for the rest of your life and you could only have one lower-body garment, one upper-body garment, one tool, and one luxury item, what would you choose? Why?

NB - You can choose not to take any one of those items, but you cannot take any more.

My hand-sewn (frorm Scotland) Irish National Tartan kilt. It's made by educated and trained artisans with the skill to produce an authentic and beautiful kilt. I'll honor their education and abilities by keeping it ONLY.

It would be the same answer as #1. It has been a "dream kilt" for me since I first saw one. The 16 ounce material, along with the fact that it has the hand-sewn touch and taper is a look that no one can duplicate. When you're talking about a "dream kilt" money is no object. When you take in account the quality... it's a better buy.

NO QUESTION. If it's not comfortable... it's being worn for YOU. If it's stylish... it's being worn for someone else. Comfort can also translate into quality since a truly well-made kilt won't even feel like it's there.

Lower Garment: full length, cold water surfer pants
Upper Garment: long sleeve, cold water surfer top
    Tool: survival knife
    Luxury Item: loaded flare gun
    All self-explainatory.

    Galant,

I agree with Jimmy on the first three of your questions without any other comment.

On your fourth question definetly long pants and long sleeved shirt for protection from the wind. Must be able to dry quickly.

I agree with the knife, my luxury would be a nice mattress, why to sleep and eat in comfort.

my survival Utilikilt. stain and water resistant, enough pocket space for 20, (it's true trust me) bottles of beer, and comfortable as can be!

2 - If you could own only one kilt, but it could be anything you desired which would it be and why?

I would like the design of the Survival UK to have a removable lining, maybe fleece, or PV, something to give some soft warm comfort in the winter months.

Comfort...I would rather be comfortable than stylish. as said above why worry what other people think when you are comfortable?

4 - If you were going to be stranded on an island for the rest of your life and you could only have one lower-body garment, one upper-body garment, one tool, and one luxury item, what would you choose? Why?

well my surival kilt would last and not wear as quickly as pants. I am not so worried as cold as heat. islands people get stranded on are usually tropic in nature. upper body an Aran wool sweater. breathible and cool in heat, warm in cold and water resistant. when it's too hot I can go without a shirt. luxury item...a sattelite phone with built in GPS to call for help when I got tired of coconuts and pineapple! ;)
