    Disturbed in a kilt

So my girlfriend decideded she wanted to go see the rock band Disturbed when they were in town last weekend. We had to park a few blocks from the venue because all the closest spots were taken. While waiting to cross an intersection on the way, a Hummer full of college age girls pulled up and started yelling compliments my way and giving me a thumbs up. I smiled and gave them a thumbs up in return. (my girlfriend just rolled her eyes). While waiting in line to get in I had a bunch of teenage girls who wanted a picture with me, so I obliged. (much to the annoyance of my girlfriend). I didnt like the opening bands much so I stood out in the atrium to preserve my hearing and save my lungs from as much second hand smoke as possible. A guy walked by in a Utilikilt and I introduced myself and we bantered for a bit. After a good bit of conversation, Disturbed came on and I rather enjoyed their performance.

I am not used to getting nearly as much attention in my kilt as I did that day, but I ate it up. I dont wear my kilt looking for compliments but when they come my way (especially from girls my age) it does put some extra swagger in my stride. Here is a pic of me heading out the door to the concert.

Sorry if the pic is sideways. I have tried everything i can think of to get it to flip. It is rightside up on my computer and everytime I upload it it is oriented correctly on in my album. It comes out flipped when I preview though. I give up after 20 minutes of frustration.

Thats my dickies under and overshirt, USAK Navy kilt, and Berserk Sporran MK II in action.

Looking good, that's one of my favourite tartans. Try and convince your girlfriend that the compliments are always going to come when you're kilted

Glad you had a good night and the compliments never hurt, good picture it looks right on this end
