Does anyone else sweep their pleats when wearing pants?

I wear kilts more often at work than I wear pants and on a number of occasions co-workers have been upset to see me in pants. I have noticed that I have a habit of making the motion of sweeping the pleats before sitting when I am wearing pants. I always am embarrassed, but don't think anyone else has caught this action. Just curious to see if anyone else has had the same experience?

I actually sat on my fingers once getting into my car sweeping pleats that I didn't have...

I'm sorry, but I'm sure that somewhere in our rules there is one that forbids the use of the word p***s.

Please refrain from doing that again.

Yes I do this often and also make the forward move so as to swish the pleats forward before sitting. I must look odd when not kilted and have noticed peoples strange looks as I sit in the tube.

On the rare occasion I have to wear Sweats or jeans (see Steve, I didn't say 'P@#T$'), I DO find myself sweeping pleats.

When I have to use the 'little boys room', I also find myself reaching for the selvedge on my front apron.

Oh my. I noticed I "sweep" when I get in the car, even if I'm not kilted. And here I thought it was just me.
