    Does Anyone recognize this tartan?

    Hi,
A friend purchased this lovely female kilt in a thrift shop, she would like to know what the tartan is -- if it is anything other than a plaid. Does anyone recognize it?

    Thanks!

    -john

This should be on the Tartan thread rather than the general kilt one I think.

Can't work it out from the picture. Can you post a better quality one.

I believe this is the Royal Air Force tartan.

Yes, I am fairly certain that is the Royal Air Force tartan.
I have a kilt in Royal Air Force tartan and I have just been comparing it against your photo.

Aye, no red, as far as I can see.

I thinks it's just a generic "tartan" tartan, but nice all the same!

I can see the red stripes in the photo from the Original Poster quite clearly on my monitor.
I am quite sure this is the Royal Air Force tartan.

I have no problem seeing the red stripes in the image. Unless a close-up photo shows otherwise, I'm fairly certain this is the RAF tartan.
