Dressed to Kilt 2011 Date Announced

April 5, 2011 is the big day.

This year's theme is "Country Chic", apparently drawing inspiration from the Scottish immigration to the Appalachian Mountains.

Last year, according to the website, the cheapest ticket was $175 ($125 tax deductible), except if you are under 30, then it was $99 ($45 tax deductible)

That wvuld be an awesome event to attend! Although, I am interested why it was cheaper for those under 30? That just seems odd to me.

I've seen tiered prices like this before.
My guess is because the older, stodgier (and wealthier) people like to rub elbows with the younger, hipper (and poorer) crowd at events like these. It helps keep the event feeling 'cool' and more party-like, even if all the cool, trendy people can't afford anything that's being shown on the runways

Tickets are cheaper than the airfare it would take for me to attend!

If I were already in NY, I would go in a heartbeat!

EXACTLY! I would be all over it, if I were in NY.

As for the price range...that makes sense too. The navy does that for the annual balls and what not, cheaper tickets for the junior guys.

This was the page for tickets in 2010 http://www.dressedtokilt.com/2010-tickets-sale.php

they'll probably have one for this yr soon

Actually, it takes you to PayPal if you click it, so maybe they just haven't revised the date

Someday, I would love to attend this event. Someday, I would love to design a collection for this event.
I have a fever, and the only prescription is MORE KILT
