| | | Druid in a kilt at a Graham Ministries event
I have been called upon to provide stage monitor support for Rock the River event in St. Paul Minnesota as a group of Christian rockers set the stage for Franklin Graham ministries. I wonder what they will think of a Alchemist in a Kilt? Anyone ever attend one of these shows? http://www.billygraham.org/RTR/RockTheRiver.asp

Christians (in general, from my own personal experiences) do not have anything against kilt-wearing. On the other hand, as long as you're not there advertising the fact that you are a druid and rubbing peoples' faces in it, there will likely be no problems whatsoever.
If you wore a T-shirt with something like your avatar, however, I think you would certainly offend a few people (although I don't have a personal problem with it).

I've been at the Cove, and the Charlotte BGEA HQ kilted with no negative reaction whatsoever. Billy Graham lives in Montreat, NC - Tartan Hiker is the kilted ranger of Montreat, Montreat has a pipe band (MadBagPiper is a member) and Montreat College (my alma mater) with strong ties to the Presbyterian Church and very deep Scots heritage. So I sincerely doubt you'll have any negative reaction to the kilt - at least from ministry staff members. You'll probably get lots of looks and double takes, though, but likely not worse than anywhere else.
As for your spiritual values and beliefs, I don't know what kind of reaction you'll get to that should you choose to share.
Let us know how it goes.

I wouldn't advertise dissenting religious views, unless you're looking for an ambitious evangelical to make you their project. I've been to Billy Graham things before, and they're about religious conversion. I don't know about this Rock the River; sounds like a big concert to me.

So many stagehands are unwashed heathen that I will stand out as clean cut, but kilted. Don't ask don't tell collect the check and earn money towards a tank. Sticking to the plan and living the dream! Dad was Episcopalian was was a Presbyterian, I should fit in.

related to the original question:
I'd say if you have a "STAFF" t-shirt or one with your company name on it, go with that. Then everyone will know you're working the gig and not there as a concert-goer.
unrelated to the original question, but:
The senior Rev. Graham (Billy) owns a kilt in one of the Graham tartans. He either bought or was given it many years ago on one of his UK trips. I heard him speak at the Kirkin' in Montreat a few years ago and he described wearing it "privately".
