Early wedding gift from my soon-to-be Mother In Law

My future wife specifically requested a horse hair sporran for our wedding in August. Apparently she mentioned it to her mom, as this arrived in the mail yesterday.

I'd just removed it from the box and put it on my kilt, so the hair has a serious case of bed head.

Here's a shot of the cantle:

Overall, it's a very nice piece. Has a pouch and everything, as I know many horse hairs do not..apparently she did her research on it before buying this one.

Can't be happier about the whole thing.

Looks great! That will be extra nice when you wear it at the wedding now. Congrats on the sporran AND the upcoming nuptials!

Obviously your future mother-in-law thinks her daughter made a good choice. She's a rare one, she is. Good for you!

Teufel Hunden, your mother-in-law-to-be is a star!
That is a magnificent sporran (and I have seen some pretty awful horsehair types!).
All the best for the wedding.
    Regards,
    Mike
