    Ebay question...

Anyone know who this seller is?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Authentic-Scotti...QQcmdZViewItem

They stole the pictures of the kilt from our Permier page (Kelly made that kilt years ago and we use the pics on our Premier page as the model), and I want them to take the pics down NOW. One thing I won't stand for is others taking credit for our work...

I would be upset as well Rocky. That does not show well for the seller, because they are misrepresenting their product.

I hope you get this cleared up!

Rocky at the bottom of the ebay page there is a link to report this individual to ebay which includes copyright infringments. You can also contact the "seller" and advise him to remove your property (pictures). Perhaps you've already done this and want an address so you can show up with a brick bat.

I just sent a question to the user......

The pictures of the kilt you are using are not of the product you are selling. These pictures have been copied off another kiltmaker's site, because they are easily recognized. You should remove them immediately or face a complaint to ebay for misrepresenting your item.
What if we all sent a similar question to this "seller"?

Rocky, eBay is pretty good about cracking down on that, I speak from experience. They should cancel that listing real quick once you contact them.

If you look at the guy's feed back, you will see that he is mainly a buyer, not a seller.

I had to start putting a huge digital watermark on all my photos because of image theft.

Boy, did that fool make a mistake!

I had a well composed response but it turns out I'd have to register with ebay to send it.

Rocky, you and Kelly are the best, but sorry...ain't gonna register with ebay even to express righteous indignation.

Hope you guys that are ebay registered deluge both the fool and ebay with your displeasure at such theft.

And Rocky, my apologies. I notice he sports Clan Frazier on his website...if he didn't steal that too....my Frazer, Frazier cousins are a bunch of outright rogues sometimes.

    ROCKY,

I also sent the seller a response like MDDOCK58 did I am sure he will remove the posting once the flood gates of XMARKS indignation starts at this blatant theft. But you need to notify ebay of the theft. CR66

    Rocky,

I had a similar experience with another on-line seller using photographs I took of a product for our museum's gift shop catalog on his web site. Before I contacted them I did some research on the company (for instance, looking at X Marks for customer feedback), and in this case all of the feedback on X Marks for them was very good. Everyone had great things to say about the guy who ran the company and his customer service.

Since I actually knew who the guy was and how to contact him, I did so directly. I pretty much told him that those were my photographs, they were taken specifically for the museum's gift shop, and to remove them from his web site ASAP. He tried to backpedal at first (he claimed the images were supplied to him from the manufacturers as stock images), but once he figured out I was serious he took down the images almost immediately.

Sometimes directly contacting the person is best. In this case it's impossible because it's an ebay seller and you don't know who they are. So, I'd contact ebay directly and see if you can get satisfaction that way.

    Good luck!
