What a wonderful subject for serious research! Your study was very well thought out and nicely presented. Thanks!

Whew. At first I thought TartanHiker had an arrow through his head. If so, all the heat escaping would have skewed the data.

You, sir, are my hero.

That. Was. Awesome. I love science.

Thank you for your nerdiness and dedication to the kilt!

Pursuant to other current threads - I'm not really sure that cowboy hat goes with that kilt...

Seriously, a fine bit of well documented research!

Fascinating. (where did I put that Spock smiley?)
For the next study, you will have to either
a) collect temperature data while wearing p***s, or
b) compare different kilt weights (22 oz, 16 oz, and 13 oz in wool, 10 oz in PV)

TartanHiker,

This is a study in beauty! What a delight to see kilts used in a very nicely laid out scientific study. It makes me wish I taught in a situation which would allow me to play with sensors.

This indeed was a beauty, thanks for taking the time to not only perform this experiment, but to post it in such a concise matter.

I doff my tam to you kind sir!

Cheers,

Marshal Moroni

Well done research. Which journal are you publishing this in?

Outstanding TH. I was thinking about your study today as I waited outside for 20 minutes for the MARTA train in my 18 oz Gordon MBP. Just standing. I felt colder than when I am walking - maybe because I wasn't generating extra body heat thru exercise.

I was wearing boots, and I even pulled up my socks. I never do that. Well, hardly ever.

Now all you need to do is repeat the study enough times to develop an average for each sensor for each kilt type.
