    The end of my Jones

    *snoopy happy dance*

My kilt has arrived but since I have to go to an interview so pictures and trying it on will have to wait till later to prove it.

My first wool kilt and it is heavy.

It's only a SWK heavyweight black shadow tartan (custom length hence the jones). But Lighting Delivery as usual I just got the e-mail about it being ready 2 days ago.

    *still doing the happy dance*

    be back later all

Many congrats! I just got my Prince Chuck in the mail from Edinburgh yesterday, so my Jones are also satisfied for the moment. PS- I tried to order the same kilt a couple weeks ago and Jerry said he was out of tartan - has he got a new supply?

Colonel MacNeal, I was just wondering if your tag line is latin for "No one messes with Texas?'

It is "No one attacks Texas with impunity"

so yes, that is the general meaning of the statement.

Basicly a twist on "Memo me impune lacessit" -"No one attacks me with impunity", the motto of grand auld Scotland

Congratulations on the kilt, and good luck with the interview.

My son's kilt came in this afternoon and mine came in yesterday. Both Gordon's. The kilt's gonna fit him fine - maybe a little long. The sporran, however, is gonna swallow him whole. Either way, there will be a pic of us posted later this evening!

    Better late than never

No Alan there's nothing wrong with a Stillwater Heavyweight (more on that later).

Thanks for the good luck McMurdo, But I haven't heard back from them so that will probably go nowhere (darn economy).

    So without further adieu

    The new Kilt

And the problem with the kilt........

I lost about 20 pounds (yeah i'm below 200) in the last two weeks or so, and the kilt is way to big.

Now my question becomes how can I fix it? (I can't return it because it's a custom length)

My first thought is just to cut a few inches off the under apron reattach the inside belt an leave it at that.....would that work?

Congratulations on the weight loss. You can move the buckles, I would suggest moving them both in an equal amount, however as it is the Shadow tartan moving the one may do it.
