    Enter The Haggis

Last night I went to see Enter The Haggis at an Irish Pub in Georgia. The show was amazing. After the show, and as I was walking towards the door, the piper in the group stopped me and thanked my for wearing my kilt. There were only about 6 people (out of about 75 -100) wearing a kilt. I told him thanks but that I really enjoyed wearing the kilt and that thanks wasn't necessary. We talked for a few minutes and then I left. (He had to help the band break down the set anyway). The entire experience made me feel really good and proud to be wearing a kilt.

I was not happy that I missed that. I was called into a meeting late in the afternoon that ran long. Glad you were there to "represent"

Aye, I concur. I was there as well...last year there were a lot more people in kilts than there were this year...I was proud to be among them.

Snipe, it was good to meet you, and see your son there as well. Next year when I'm 21 I'll buy you a drink.

Guys, if you haven't ever listened to Enter the Haggis, you are missing out. It was one of the best shows I've ever seen. They were tight, and fun to watch as well as dance to (although heaven knows I'm a terrible dancer...so were the other people who danced, though...)

We shall not cease from exploration/ And the end of all our exploring/ Will be to arrive where we started/ And know the place for the first time. <><

    Dang,

Looked them up and they seem to be an East Coast group....nada out here in the hinterlands of the West yet.

    Here's their tour schedule http://www.enterthehaggis.com/index.php?page=Tour

Guess I'll have to content myself with their CDs, which they sell on their site.

If you want to see them earlier (and indoors) I think that they may be playing at the Mid-Winter Irish & Scottish Music Fest in Valley Fordge PA in mid-Feb.

I know, but I cant always get down there.

I do want to get down that way to check out Rocky's shop.

Because I work in NYC, my weekends are usually busy taking care of the "little things" that I can't normally get to.

    Brian

Just took a quick look, cause I'd seen this festival mentioned before. Haggis is not on the list of performers. Got really excited for a second there.
But there are several other great bands listed (Seven Nations, Brother, etc).
