An evening with the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards
First of all, WOW! I really enjoyed the show at the Atlanta Fox theater last evening. The Royal Scots dragoon guards and the Band of the Coldstream Guards gave a riveting performance. It was a great chance to see a couple of bands I had only seen on DVD before. It makes my wish to travel to Edinburgh to see the Tattoo that much more desirous.
A couple of funny things from last evening though was the 'question' at the restaurant from a very inebriated Asian gentleman who would not take the answer I gave him. My wife finally said "That is my concern, not yours!" The entire area erupted with laughter and the gentleman slunk away.
Heading towards the theater after dinner I was approached by an urban out-doors man who said "looking good Irish!" That happened a couple of times during the walk over.
After the show as I was walking back to the car an older gentleman told me that my slip was showing. I responded by stating that would be very difficult considering what is really under here.... he wife dang near fell off the sidewalk when I mentioned that. My wifes blush caused traffic to stop thinking that the light had turned red!
During the walk to the car, I also had a chance to talk to two gentlemen who mentioned that they wished they had worn their kilts. One stated that his was quite bright and I said "Oh, the loud McLeod".... He looked me straight in the eye and said "NO! The PROUD McLeod!" To which there was a general sound of laughter from the group.
All in all a great evening!

That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Sounds like a great evening, I unfortunately missed them in Buffalo earlier this year due to car problems, glad you had a good night. I think you are being generous calling the inebriated Asian a gentleman, but then again it takes all kinds.
