Expectations Of Others
So I wore pantz yesterday. My agency also runs a detox facility and I was going to be over there a while then taking a detox client to court. Didn't wear the pantz for the court - its difficult to keep a detox facility clean, especially early in the morning after a night of effluvium from the guests.
When we got to court first person I ran into was the City Attorney. First thing he said to me was, "Where's your usual attire?"
His tone was that of a mother to her child asking why they're out in the cold without a jacket...sort of a tone of potential dissapointment that something might have changed.
Kilted today.

Thats is pretty cool in its own way, any more I have the same thing when I don't wear mine to work for a couple days, ( I still only have one so I wear it once or twice a week, working on correcting that though).

It takes time to train them.

I've gotten asked "where are the kilts" from about 6-7 people since I've been back at work from the TransPac.
My answer: Trust me, you don't want to see my legs right now.
I have more hacks and bruises on my legs than you would believe, not to mention a stinker of a sunburn on my ankles! At least the sunburn is easing up. I figure mid-week, next week and I'll be back in 'em.

Ron, seriously, I can't even imagine you in pants. Do pictures actually exist?

BoyJRB,
I don't know...usually don't allow panted pics. My lady was with me for three years before she ever saw me in pantz.

I figured as much. It'd be like spotting bigfoot, nessie or an alien.

Nessie is more likely.
RK, it is amazing the number of people that are so used to seeing us in a kilt, and then are shocked if we wear trousers ,shorts or capris (the urban version of shorts). One young lass that I have never spoken with asked if I was ill, when I rode the bus home from work one day, and I asked her why she thought I might be ill. Her answer..."You're not in your kilt."
