    Festive attire...

Do any of you folks ever sacrifice your sartorial sensibilities for the sake of looking festive at Christmas (or any other time, but especially Christmas)? Ever do it kilted?

I left the house in a lot of red and green last night, to go to a Christmas concert:

Anyone else sport more red and green than usual, at this time of the year? If so, post some pictures, so we know it really happened.

It might be interesting to wear little reindeer antlers.

    That would be perfect.

You could hang your keys on them.

I'd be tempted to save that for Easter.

    Ryan,

I don't think there is anything that extreme about your outfit -- I think it's rather nice, actually! There is red and green in your tartan, and wearing a red sweater, green hose, etc., really pull those colors out.

I'll wear my Macdonald of Sleat with a green shirt, green hose, and red flashes.

I think you look very pulled together. With your kilt, I even like the black shirt, and I'm not crazy about black dress shirts.

But, yeah to the reindeer antlers, but without bells! Bells would be undignified.

    Many thanks, Matt.

Aye, I didn't think it particularly extreme, but it was certainly a greater variety of colors worn together than my general sensibilities would dictate.

I wasn't necessarily thinking of extremely outlandish outfits (although those would be good too), but just more along the lines of what folks wear, specifically with looking festive in mind.

And also, not just festive for Christmas, necessarily, but for any occasion where color theory is applied- red white and blue for 4th of July, for example.

That sounds like a potentially very Christmasy kit, indeed! I'd add some jingle bells to hang around Buddy the badger's neck though, personally!

Thanks, good sir. Never underestimate the usefulness of black in a kilted sittuation, my friend.
