Finally, I get to jones once again!

Just got back home after visiting with Matt at the Scottish Tartans Museum. Today I ordered my first tank...a 16oz 8 yard Irish National. I also came home with a few goodies:

The trip out to the museum and gift shop was fantastic, and certainly worth the 5 1/2 hour drive (we did stay overnight at a friends near Asheville). Matt is a wonderful gent, and full of insight and knowledge. It was a real treat to talk to him and get his opinions. Now I just need to wait for the kilt.

Congratulations, happy jonesing. I really need to look into a 4 yard box pleat, just not sure which tartan.

I decided not to go with the box pleat this time. I don't know. The jury is still out on the box pleated kilts. But...after seeing so many pics of them in the "Show us your Pics" topic, I might reconsider. I suppose they are a bit lighter weight since they're only 4 yards of material.
