    FINALLY, Kilted at work!

Monday, June 1st is the last day of school at the high school where I work as the local police department's school resource officer. Throughout the year many of the students have heard of my kilt making and wearing. Some have seen me off duty in my various X-Kilts.

So, at the students request, and the subsequent approval of the school principal, my uniform of the day for the last day of school will my duty uniform shirt, pistol belt, sporran and kilt!

I hand stitched an 8 yarder out of a cotton blend that I found at Hancock's that is similar to a Black Watch that I think I will wear. I think it's the most appropriate and most traditional kilt that I own that would fit the occasion.

Many of the students have already said that they want pictures taken with me, so rest assured that there will be pics to follow next week!

Good for you! I wear mine to work to but have to hang it in my locker while on patrol. I do plan on wearing my black AmeriKilt to firearms training in the future. Nothing in the rules and regs about kilts at the range!!!!

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
