Finnally took the first step!
Well, today is a watershed date for me! When I woke up this morning, I decided that I wanted to wear my kilt. Up to this point, I have never worn my kilt unless it was a holiday of some sort. Today was the first day I wore my kilt because, as I said to my students, "I didn't feel like wearing pants." It felt great! I got some great compliments from parents in the PTA and my co-workers. It was probably the best day I have ever had wearing my kilt. I have decided to have monthly kilt days in my school (I know monthly does not seem like a lot, but I don't want to push it to far....yet) I think it will be great. I have been able to "convert" a colleague and he is going to buy a kilt and join me on kilt days. I am really excited!
The next step is wearing my kilt beyond work and Scottish Holidays.

Congratulations, just keep wearing it when you want.

Very good! Kilt on!

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Kilt Day sounds like a Friday thing to me.
Why, a child of five could understand this. Quick -- someone fetch me a child of five!

The more you wear, the more natural it will look, and the more comfortable with it you will get. Keep that in mind.
