    First full day kilted

And what a full day! Went to Sam's, Wal-Mart, Academy and my local Boy Scout shop. Had to gather up last minute stuff for our Blue and Gold Banquet for my Cub Scout Pack. I had on a black kilt my Mom-in-law made for me. Caused a few double takes, but the only comment was during lunch at a Mexican restaurant. I was asked if there was a festival going on somewhere. I got a "Cool" when I told them its just because I wanted to wear it. My cubs on the other hand... "Why are you wearing a dress?" And who came to my rescue? my 7 yr old son! He got them for not paying more attention when we earned our Heritage belt loop. I was amazed how much he had remembered. I am pretty proud of him. My Mom-in-law made me an olive drab kilt to wear with my scout uniform shirt. It is pretty slick if I do say so myself. I will post a picture when I get one sent to me. The only comment tonight was "Nice knees" All in all, it has been a great day!
I will find something clever to put here later...

Good story, I guess more kilted days are in your future. Good for you.

Sounds like you had a great day. What a wonderful son you have. A mother in law that makes you kilts as well, I'd say you are a lucky man. My Lads are like your son. They tend to be very protective of their father. If they hear a comment in the negative they quickly want to educate these poor ignorant souls. I tell them how we must pity the weak of the herd and just be a greater shepard to them in hopes that one day they will be enlightened enough to familiarize themselves with the error of their ways. For they must have nothing in their life to be proud of and must be ashamed, besides they have no idea what we can do . Thanks for sharing.

It takes cajones to do what you just did. A common trait among this rabble. Dang proud of you to roll model what cajones can do for a man to a group of boys who will soon be making similar choices...to stand tall or to crawl. Ya done good.
