    Forgive me, kilties...

I'm donning a kilt as a costume tonight...

Basically, it's the work Christmas party. The theme is "Stranger Than Fiction" which means 'dress up as a movie/tv/cartoon/book/whatever character.' Since I have no money available to hire anything, I did some cupboard rummaging and can make for a passable Rob Roy MacGregor... well, by passable, the tartan will be right, and the shirt will be a Jacobite shirt... but my hair is the wrong colour and length.

Still, I'm sure there will be worse 'customes' tonight than mine...

    Wade.

Well... I guess it's ok... this time...

After all, up in the gallery, there is a picture of me in a Nightstalker kilt, flat cap, gause pirate shirt, and (cream )hose while standing next to a twenty foot tall bear statue at a Ren fair. I really can't hold it against you.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

When dressing as Rob Roy MacGregor, a kilt is probably the most appropriate costume.

you know, if you dress as someone else, aka. a famous person...then the term is correct:

you are in a costume. kilt or no kilt.

    have a good time!

and if that means you need to buy a second (or third or ...) kilt to make it look right, so be it. (That's how I got my Royal Stewart Kilt)
