    A French Encounter

So I'm out hiking my favorite tourist trail today - met folks from India, Germany, North Carolina, Japan, and France.

This French lady's male friend was most interested in my kilt and wanted a bunch of pictures. No problem - just I get a photo with your lady. Deal done.

    God I love kilts!

That's my new teal Scottevest Travel Vest with 22 pockets - no need for a sporran. More about it on the accessories forum.

Kilt is my Antarctic tartan 13 ounce wool by Dalgliesh via the Antarctic Trust. Hand sewn by Kathy Lare. The way the sun's on it shows the tartan whiter than it is.

Riverkilt: Nice-looking Desertkilt - bright and cool (literally) looking. Your hose and flashes look great, too.

Only 22 pockets?! How do you manage? That vest has more pockets than my Order of the Gael Kilt Kit!

I hope you looked the French lady right in the eyes and longingly said something romantic like, "Pomme de terre su le tab."

No clue about the French...and since her man was taking the picture I was a good boy...

I like to think it was her looking at me longingly....but the lonely male ego creates many fantasies...

    Potato on the table

As for the French, I don't think I would want to translate it literally on a respected blog like this one, but I can tell you one thing for sure ... If she was at all hungry, she would have been drooling.

I know what it means, Mookien. It's an invitation, to put it gracefully!

Ron, you do seem to have a way with the ladies!

Um, I think it means, "She's got her hand on your bottom."
