Frugal Corner Update
Greetings to the Rabble,
I thought you'd like to here what I've heard from Frugal Corner.
While I was getting an update on my custom 16 oz kilts (I'm a man of substance, and cannot buy off the rack), I was told that in addition to the two shipments inbound with FedEx, thy have 800 kilts, 600 sporrans, 400 kilt pins and a many other things coming over the next two weeks.
They have actually hired a Customer Service person, (I spoke with her today!)so they are no longer a 2 man show.
Looks like they are working through their growing pains and are growing through them.
As soon as I receive my kilts from them I'll get a review with pictures posted.
Cheers,

So far my only dealings with them was when my niece ordered her Pride of Scotland material. I do plan on getting some kilts from them soon. They seen to genuinely care about their customers. I am pleased with them

As I mentioned on another thread, their 16 oz kilts are oh so nice!

I'm glad to hear it. They have several kilts I'd like to own.

Well I agree that they are working on getting better, but they are not there yet. I called (and left a message) to see if they had a brass belt buckle that was pictured on the site. I mentioned that I would like to get it quickly and would gladly pay the necessary shipping. Well they don't have any buckles (I got the same "we should have them in a couple" of weeks story, but they took two days to call me back on a simple question. Granted I was not desperate for the item, but if I had, I would have moved on long before they got back to me.
Disclaimer - I have been tried and convicted as a "Kilt Snob" so please be aware any statement I make may be biased towards tradition and good taste. LOL

Well, I'm glad that they are getting their act together. It's a great store, it started out wonderful, but then it got swamped. Now, it appears that things are beginning to shape up a bit. Hip hip huzzah!

I emailed them asking about a sporan two weeks ago to see if it was in stock never heard anything back. Don't think I'll deal with them.

Now that they've got a Customer Relations person, they've responded to my e-mails quite quickly. Give them a month or two to get back in order, and then give them an order.
