Gender Specific Kilt hose?!

One of the questions asked of us after doing a Scottish culture presentation/mini-pipe band concert for a local college class was very interesting: Are white socks for men and black socks for women?
Both of us women happened to be wearing black, while the one man in the group was wearing his regulation band hose. We explained that we have to wear the band hose too much and were simply trying to be fashionable in black!

Hmmm, women's kilt hose...forgot about that...maybe there IS a market for all the kilt hose I shrunk in the washing machine before I knew what I was doing....

No clue about color. Figure the color of kilt hose is entirely a matter of the colors in the kilt tartan.

Although it'd be a brave man to wear pink kilt hose with a pink and black "Elvis tartan" kilt.

Are you kidding about the Elvis tartan? Another rockabilly kilt?

There are those of us who could have a lot of fun if we were asked about gender and socks. It would depend on who could keep a straight face the longest. It would be like the wild haggis stories.
