    Thumbs up Getting out more

Actually, I'm not getting out more, just getting into some new social circles. It's taken me 6 months to get over the breakup with my girlfriend, and I've just now started to move in other social circles here on campus. All this to lead up to my little story.

I was sitting in the commons of one of the girls' halls, chatting with some girls I didn't know very well, both of them art majors. I was wearing trousers , but somehow, after about 40 minutes, the conversation turned to kilts. I think one of them asked a question about them, but they got me started

It was a great talk, and after a bit a few more ladies entered the conversation. They were all very interested in the subject, and wanted to know everything about kilts, kilted skirts, etc etc. One of them cracked a joke about wearing a pin-striped suit, except with a matching kilt, and I informed them of 21st Century Kilts wonderful invention...needless to say they thought that was pretty cool.

We talked about every kilt imaginable, from the 21stCK ground-length kilts all the way to UK's and hand-sewn traditionals, and sporrans, and the whole boots vs tall socks and shoes...it was great, and I've never had a conversation about kilts that was so involved.

Oh yes. I do like it when the ladies are interested in kilts.

We shall not cease from exploration/ And the end of all our exploring/ Will be to arrive where we started/ And know the place for the first time. <><

I wish I knew of kilts in college. I actually saw one guy wearing one on campus, and I used to make fun of him. Little would I know what would become of me!

fasted way to get over anything with a female...head out into public ( esp. if you are in college) with your kilt on.

In most cases the problem will resolve itself in record time.
