Going down to FL

For those in the area, I'll be down in DeFuniak Springs, FL, this coming Friday and Saturday as a presenter at the Chautauqua Assembly they are having there.

I'll have a booth with info from the Scottish Tartans Museum set up from 9 to 4 both days (tartan look-up, name research, general kilt related questions answered). Then from 4 to 5 I'll be giving a talk on the history of the kilt, again both days. My talk, I think you have to pay for, but the info booth is open free to the public.

Looks like a lot of other stuff going on there that weekend. Check it out and if anyone is in the area come say hi!

Wish I could! Defuniak is just a few hours down the road from me. My youngest daughter has a volleyball tournament this weekend. Gotta go be the proud Dad

! Would be nice to finally meet you. Will have to make a trip up to the museum next time I am at my folks new house in GA.

Once you've visited the Florida Chautauqua Center, any chance you might visit the original Chautauqua Institution in Chautauqua, NY? It would be a good opportunity for our mid-Atlantic and southern Ontario members to meet you.
