    If I had a paten on a pattern I'd get upset if someone used it without paying too.

    I can't help but find this a cheerful bit of news. Snobbery coming out again, I think, but they foist off a lot of junk on tourists who don't know any better.

    Ironically, one of the google links at the bottom of the page when I read the article was for Heritage of Scotland, which I believe is a Gold Bros. store. You can't find that out when you read the webpage, but I made the mistake of ordering some shoes from them lately, and that's what the bag said.

    Yes, my first online order for accessories was from that site. I did wonder if the woman who sent me an email in connection with it, and was named Singh-Gold, might be an Indian married to a Scotsman. Little did I know!!!

    I had never even heard of these fellows before joining here. I guess I was lucky in that reguard.

    Locharron claims to be the only mill licensed to produce Isle of Skye, but I thought Marton Mills produced it too...

    I wonder if other companies could get in trouble for using counterfeit tartan?
