| | | Good news bad news
Hello all, I have not been around in a while, internet has been down. Good news is, today I was measured for my Baghdad Kilt. It was quite a task. Even with Barbs book, the dialogue was difficult. The conversions to metric, the material selection, the proper pleating. It was a task. I spent twenty minutes and used two interperters to make sure she understood that I wanted a kilt made from Iraqi Wool. For a while there I was scared, as I thought she was going to make me a furry kilt made from the skin. I also received some wonderful songs via email from Steve (semper fi) and that takes care of my music for Burns night. Haggis is still enroute and I will have to send an email to celedonia.
Bad news....a blog reader found my blog and wrote some pretty nasty things about me. I visited his site at www.welcometowallyworld.com, and left him my reply. boy this guy is hateful. He copies a photo from my blog of me in a kilt, and uses it to call me a cross dresser and a bunch of other slang and derrogatory names. How the world hates what they do not understand.
The seamstress asked for $30 up front, (cant wait to see what the total is, if it comes out good, I am getting a steal) and it will be ready in a week. I will email all the photos to Barb as she is the one that sent me the book and will allow her to post them as she likes.

Good luck with your new kilt, Jay. Do not worry about what some pimply faced adolesent thinks. He will never be half the person you are. He is just compensating for his own feelings of inferiority. Your blog, although a bit graphic to some, is excellent.

It's my pleasure to help you out in such a small way. I hope you guys have a great evening.
I also want to commend you on your method of dealing with your critic. It would have been very tempting to unleash the "ladies from hell" on him and have his blog flooded with emails, ping attacks, and various other viruses ;) , but you encouraged your readers and friends to maintain a respectful tone when responding. While it is so tempting to lash out at people who truely have malicious intent, there truly is no honor in a battle of wits with this unarmed reject.

I only looked as far as the guy's home page and he seems to have a chip on his shoulder about absolutely everyone so I wouldn't worry about it nor take it personal. Maybe he's only being controversial to boost the number of hits
on his blog.

Read some of his blog and he sound like he can't keep a job, of course that comes with travel. I do believe he might be australian, judging by his aditude and language, but no bother. All in all does not sound like some one who would be in my circle of friends. Got to give him credit He sure loves his son. So that being said I for one will never visit his site again.

I only read the stuff about you, and part of your back-and-forth comments, but like Moosehead said, my head started to hurt; he really is a hateful character, isn't he. Unless he's pulling this crap on your site as well, I'd ignore him. You've made your point to his readers; he's not worth any more of your time.
