    Goodbye - for a while

Well, folks, it has been coming on so gradual that I cannot believe it is here. I am sitting in the Atlanta airport as I type this as I begin my journey to Hyderabad India. It was a very difficult day as I had to leave my wife of 17 years behind for the next 6 months. Neither of us really believed that this day would come, but here it is. So, as the rabble wears the kilts and deals with the issues, please think of me spending the next period of time in TR***ERS! (Oh the agony!) (and not to mention the 4.5 yard of xmarks tartan just waiting to be built....)

Anyway, whilst I expect to be able to pop in a couple of times a week. I expect that I will not be as active as I was prior to the trip. And to the members of S.E.K.S, I am sorry I missed Saturday, but the bride did not want to let me out of her sight!

And to our esteemed Panache, please do not execute this particular red-shirt before I can get back online in a week or so!!!

Anyway, to the rabble and rabblettes who have become fast virtual friends (and a couple of real friends, Steve, Gil and Turpin), I will still keep all of you in my thoughts, though maybe not as often! See you all in Feburary!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Well Splash it really will not be the same without you, safe trip, and enjoy the experience for what it is.

Thumbs up fare thee well, Splash!

Be safe, Splash, take care of yourself!

I don't know if it's any solace... but as you leave Atlanta, I'll be landing there in a few months time...so the Kilt ratio of Atlanta won't dip for long! ;)

    cheers, Mate!

OK you have earned a stay of execution for at least a week

Have a safe trip and make the most of this experience. We look forward to hearing of the adventures of our X Marker in India.

    Cheers
