    Got my SWK Night Stalker

Got my exchange taken care of. The more I look at it, the more I like it. It's really sharp, sort of like a negative image of Highland Granite. Once I get it shortened to fit my stubby little legs, this puppy's going to see a ton of wear.

Looks sharp. My brother wants an inexpensive kilt to try out and I have been looking at the nightstalker for him. When you shorten it though (hem?) how do u shorten the pleats? Or do you?

I got one of the last wool ones that they had a little over a year ago. It looks totally (and I mean totally! ) different! The grey in mine almost a shadow tartan- it's a lot more subtle. I like that new version. Mine is kinda like a weathered version... I should post a picture of it! I'm wearing it tomorrow, so I'll post one for you tomorrow evening.

According to the little piece of paper that came with the kilt, the length can be "easily" adjusted with a machine-sewn blind hem stitch. Luckily, I have a sister who has some wonderful seamstress skills. She's said she's going to cut some off and then hem it. I trust her. I'm not nervous at all. Really. No, really. I'm not.

Not sure I'd machine hem it but you would definitely need to cut some off. There is way too much extra material to all be turned up into hem. Relax, sounds as if your sister knows just what she is doing. And enjoy the finished product, it's a lovely one!

I have that kilt too and really like it. In your photo it appears to me that you are wearing it a little low...have you tried bringing it up higher in a more traditional style? Might help with the length issue.

    Cheers

Sadly, my beer gut gives the illusion of my wearing it too low. Believe it or not, that's around my bellybutton. And I once had a doctor tell me I'm 6-1 from the waist up, 5-4 from the waist down. He wasn't kidding. I'm 5-8 with stubby legs.
