Post got the wee man a kilt

after talking to my sister online the other day she was talking about my nephew(my godson) leaving his primary school hes off to high school after the summer holidays and she spoke of a party the school have for the kids as a goodbye from the teachers

well i couldnt have been happier when she spoke of him wanting to wear a kilt at the party not many kids at 12 years old would make that choice especially 12 year old Scottish kids they tend to want Americanized things like hire a tux or want a limo or are happy to wear what they wear after school
so i had a wee look on ebay and bought him a boys black watch kilt from fredonline321 for £20 perfect for a kid who is growing fast i reckon nothing to fancy and affordable for a active boy
my sister has managed to get his sporran and other items i think he`ll look grand
.... as much as id love him to wear a clan kilt I'm humbled he`d wear the black watch as my great grandfather wore the black watch tartan in the first world war so this makes my nephew the 5th generation of my family to be kilted not far from 100 years of kilt wearing in the family

something that just doesn't happen as much in Scotland as it should
the boys from the brigg will be looking good this summer for sure

It's good your nephew wants to wear the kilt. I appreciate your story, one can feel the pride in your words.

What good news, and what a nice gesture on your part to help him out.

What a grand effort to show his honor to his great grandfather. I bet he will look grand in the Black Watch.
