Great vacation so far
Hey Rabble;
I have been back from Baghdad for about 6 days now and what a great start. I have been having wonderful comments about the kilt and I have some funny stories to tell but I just dont have the time right now. Well, enough time for one. A friend of mine from the fire department went into Capital Ale house and asked the waitress for the long haired guy with the kilt. She sent him to DJ. The confusin wasnt grand, but several people were wondering what the chances were that two kilties were in the same place at the same time.
Today I gave a two hour talk to a class of 3rd graders. I was kilted in the same ensamble as the photos DJ posted for the Virginia kilt night. I spent half the time talking about my time in Iraq and half my time talking about my kilt and answering kilt related questions. I will post photos as I get them.

Welcome home, Sir. I am looking forward to your stories.
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Good to have you back, and thank you for sharing your stories.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Glad you're back looking forward to the pictures.
